About
Our story

Beauty, less wasted.

The average beauty cabinet holds £300 of unused product. Half-used serums, the wrong shade, the experiment that didn't work. Most of it ends up in landfill.

Stipple is the UK's secondhand beauty marketplace. Built in London, for women who couldn't justify another impulse buy.

I started stipple because my own bathroom shelf told me there was a problem. Beauty deserves a second life — and women deserve to make a little back from the products they no longer reach for.

How it works

Our story

Why we built stipple.

We built stipple because buying secondhand beauty in the UK was a leap of faith. Listings on the big resale platforms were a free-form photo grid — a single blurry shot, no fill level, no batch code, no way to know what you were actually getting. Returns were a fight. Disputes went nowhere.

The idea was simple: what if every listing on a resale platform looked the same? Four standardised photo slots — face, label, condition, extra. Fill level declared on every opened product. Batch visible in the label photo. Size, shade, and expiry collected at the point of listing. Not optional, not nice-to-have. Just how it works, for every item, every time.

Checkout goes through our payment processor. Payment holds until the buyer confirms receipt — 48 hours, then auto-releases. Sellers get paid the full listed price, no hidden fees on the buyer side that make the “deal” disappear at checkout.

That's stipple. A secondhand beauty marketplace built around honest listings and a simple protection mechanic that actually works.
